Austin’s unemployment rate, dropped to 6.6 percent, from 7.1 percent in October. The state's unemployment rate also ticked down to 8.1 percent, from October’s 8.4 percent.

Number of net jobs in Austin drifted by 600 in November but, just like real estate, month-to-month fluctuations are looked at with less conviction than annual rates.

Annually, Texas has added jobs at a rate of 2.2 percent over the past 12 months, compared to Austin’s 1.2 percent.
