Texas Wineries - The #2 Visited Wineries In The Country!
Texas' wineries have grown from a backyard hobby into the second-most visited wine growing area in the country. There are more than 30 wineries in the hills to the west of Austin, each producing wine and drawing visitors to Texas' scenic Hill Country. Vineyards are still relatively new to Texas, and have a long way to go before they can stand alongside more established brands like California's Napa Valley. But Texas' winemakers are gaining ground every year, and many believe their best vintages are yet to come, according to an article written by the Austin Business Journal.
A few months ago I visited one of Central Texas’ wineries ... the Bell Springs Winery in Dripping Springs. It’s a great little winery, with some wonderful wines, very friendly and informative hosts in their tasting room and a great patio where you can sit back and and enjoy a glass of their latest estate wine while taking in the Texas countryside.
On Saturdays, combine that with live music on the patio; from now through mid-December! Go and try out Bell Springs or any one (or more ...) of the more than 30 other wineries in our area. So find a designated driver and go out to visit a few of these Central Texas gems, or sign up for one of the Wine Tours that are around.
Here’s the address for the Bell Springs Winery ...
3700 Bell Springs Rd., Dripping Springs, TX 78620
Tasting Room - Thurs 12-5, Fri 12-6, Sat & Sun 11-6
Live Music every Saturday from 3:00-5:00 from now through mid-December.
